CANDLES (above)
Handmade in the USA. These measure 7/8 x 6 inches long, and fit into almost all of our lanterns and sconces. We offer two types of candles, each with the same dimensions, but made with different waxes. All are hand-dipped.
BEESWAX/BAYBERRY CANDLES are made of a 25% beeswax, 75% bayberry wax (called myrtle wax in the 18th century). BEESWAX CANDLES are made with 100% beeswax.

WILLIAM & MARY CHANDELIER (above)
Handmade by Peter Goebel.
Circa 1710 William and Mary style chandelier. This all-copper piece features candle holders on its five graceful arms. It measures 21" inches across, and about 21" inches tall.

A variation of the New England window light with an added shield. Looks great on a mantle or bookcase. Dimensions are 1 3/4" by 8 1/2" tall. Copper.

A very graceful pair made of slightly antiqued copper. Pair includes one 11" and one 14" inch tall candlestick.

DUTCH ROUND LANTERN (above)

A reproduction of a 17th century style lantern from the Dutch in New York. It features wonderful piercing, mica windows (in the 18th century it was known as Muscovy glass), smoke vents and an ample carrying ring. Antiqued copper. (Shown hanging on our Lantern or Pot Hanger, sold further down on this page.) Measures 6" round, by 12" tall with a 6" carrying handle

MEETING-HOUSE LANTERN (above)
Handmade by Peter Goebel.
Adapted from an 18th century original. An elegant six sided lantern perfect for a hall or entranceway. Six glass panes for maximum light, with a three-tiered top with over 300 punched holes. About 8" by 20" tall, this lantern may hold one or two candles. Antiqued copper.

A magnificent copy of a 15th century candle carrier. Covered with trefoil piercings and fluted crenelations, this is a midieval masterpiece about 4 1/2" round and 11" tall. In antiqued copper, as was the original.

From an original 15th century piece. A candle carrier rather than a lantern due to its small diameter (3") it works well with the doors open and a small 3 or 4 inch tall candle in the socket. Antiqued copper with a wooden base, like the original. 15" tall.

THOUSAND EYE LANTERN (above)

A large name for a small sick-room light. Once this style of light was made in many sizes; this is the smallest! A two-piece unit that accepts a small birthday candle stuck to the base in a puddle of its own wax. Perfect porta-john light!
Dimensions: 1 1/2" by 5 1/2" tall. Tin with a wire handle.
