There is a silver ring on the spine for it to be attached to the Lady's chatelaine."

Some Thoughts on the Manufacture of Lead Tokens: From an Interview with Peter Goebel (above)
By Peter Goebel.
While almost nonexistant in America, lead tokens were used worldwide for over 3,000 years. This book, first published as an article in the Lead Tokens Telegraph (#54, 9/2009) explains a possible process in making these fascinating coin substitutes.
(c) 2015 Goose Bay Workshops LLC. 8 pages.
Some Thoughts - $7.00

Extracts From Peter Kalm's Travels 1748-51 (above)
Peter Kalm. Edited by Peter Goebel.
Peter Goebel loves his copy of Peter Kalm's journal. He'll tell you it has more post-its than pages. Unfortunately, complete tranlations are very hard to come by today. So we decided to offer what we found interesting - edited and  annotated - to reenactors and history buffs.
Kalm was a Swedish botanist who was sent to British Colonial America by the Swedish Academy of Science to explore and write about the environment. He spent over two years exploring the Colonies and Canada, talking with people and writing down anything that struck his fancy in his journal. While most of his writings concern botany, he wrote pages of information on the everyday lives of people. These extracts, compiled and annotated by Peter Goebel, focus on these people, their ways and customs. It's a fascinating look into Coloinal America.
Printed on laid paper, black and white, no illustrations. Published by The Colonial Printer and Bookbindery, copyright 2015. 69 pages. Softcover.
Extracts From Peter Kalm's Travels 1748-51 - $25.00
